On 14th August 2021, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti.

Alongside many thousands of pounds raised and donated locally every year by Weymouth Rotary, we were proud to support the Shelterbox project. These green boxes feature Rotary’s logo and can be transported at short notice; providing family-size tents and often solar lights, water storage and purification equipment, thermal blankets and cooking utensils as the crisis dictates.

£650 of Weymouth Rotary funding provided one such box as we teamed up with Rotary organisations across the UK and around the world.
